Take care
Heat index up to 80°F today
Why
That is the National Weather Service's Caution range, a scale made for people, and it assumes shade: full sun can add up to 15°F. Goldens have 2.67 times the odds of heatstroke that Labradors do, which the researchers think the thicker coat may explain, and most dog heatstroke follows exercise, usually an ordinary walk. Go in the cooler hours, keep to the shade, and if your golden slows down or stops, end the walk and help them cool off.
